Confederation Log Homes shoot

We had an architecture assignment to do in College. I chose to shoot the model home for Confederation Log Homes because it fit well with my theme. I contacted them and they were more than willing to help me out. I used a tilt shift lens and took this opportunity to do some experimenting with it as well. It is a beautiful home and I hope maybe to take more pictures of it again some day. Maybe at another time of year when its decorated differently.

Winter Fun!

Winter is the time of year when some people like to stay indoors to keep warm. For me, seeing the snow and ice on the trees or the snow that has just fallen and how it turns everything into a winter wonderland, gives me an itch to get out and do a photo shoot. So I asked my good friend Krista if she would be willing to model. Of course,as always, she was totally up for it! She is such a great model, its like it comes natural to her and the camera loves her. I wasn't going for any particular theme here, just wanted to shoot something. I am very pleased with how they turned out! And Thanks again to Krista, she could not have done a better job! :)

On a mission...

After a full day of driving around with my friend searching for random, nice looking horses to take pictures of (for a christmas gift idea) we finally found some. Out of all the two hundred and something photo's I took, this one was the best . THE ONLY ONE! I will say though , its tough trying to get some good pictures when you can't go right in the field with them and have to stand at the roadside hoping the owners don't come and tell you to beat it! Still made for a fun day though :)

Muskoka Fall

There is this beautiful little spot along the river that I would pass by everyday on my way to work in Muskoka, Ontario. I finally stopped one day just as fall was settling in, and spent about an hour there one day just taking pictures and relaxing by the riverside. :)

Stream of Waterfalls

While we were in Bruce Peninsula we found this amazing little spot while we were driving down the road. We got out and climbed up this little creek and there were mini waterfalls all the way up. I got a lot of great shots, then when we got back to the bottom we noticed the No Trespassing sign haha. Oops. Oh well, It was definitely worth it :)

Bruce Peninsula National Park

I went camping with a friend for a weekend to Bruce Peninsula National Park. I have wanted to go for the last two years and finally made it. I can't even find the words to explain what we got to experience while we were there. After waiting for about 4 hours the moon started to rise rather quickly. We only had a specific window of opportunity for getting our shots. The feeling I got while experiencing this, was like nothing I have ever felt before. I know the pictures aren't the best quality but I still like how they turned out. :) We also got a few pictures while the sun was still up. These were all taken at The Grotto which was a 20 min walk from where we were staying!
This was the view from where we sat and waited for the moon :)
Big Dipper

When it first started rising..

Almost there...

There we go! Hard to believe this is the moon...
